Beta’s Part 573 Safety Recall Report to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) says 97 motorcycles are affected.

In the report, Beta says:

“We had a shipment of bikes show with the incorrect front brake hose installed. We notified the factory and were able to look at production build sheets and noticed two runs where (motorcycles were) built with the incorrect front brake hose part number listed. There was 97 units affected with a combination of 2022 350 RR-S, 2022 390 RR-S, 2022 430 RR-S, and 2022 500 RR-S.”

Describing the safety risk, Beta says:

“Having the incorrect front brake hose installed can lead to the hose not getting enough free play and possibly getting caught onto the speedometer/ dash board. This can cause damage to the speedometer/dash board, and possibly disconnect the front brake hose which could lead to injury or harm.”

The motorcycles affected by this recall are as follows:

Check the part number of the front brake hose. If it reads 29.09108.000, your bike is NOT subject to this recall. However, if the hose reads 37.36.002.00.00, your bike IS subject to this recall.

Beta will make notifications in accordance with the following schedule:

Owners should take their affected motorcycles to a Beta dealer and the dealer will replace the front brake hose free of charge. Replacement parts have already been sent to dealers.
